Faculty, staff, students, and departments
No university faculty, staff, department, club, student, or individual may schedule and hold any type of alternative Convocation or event during the official Convocation hour (10-11am/MWF). Each semester, department heads will receive notification of 5 official “alternative Convocation” dates allocated by the Office of Spiritual Programs on which departments and individuals may plan alternative Convocation services.
To prevent any department, staff, faculty, or club from holding an event that would require students to not attend the main Convocation service. The provided dates allow departments, etc., the freedom to hold department-specific convocations without requiring students to be absent from the regular Convocation service.
